Sand Dunes, Laoag City

One of the places that I really want to visit was the Sand Dunes. I heard this place to some movies but I started to admire its beauty when I saw the movie "Temptation Island". So when we decided to travel again in Laoag, I definitely include this in my itinerary. Amazed by its magical beauty, I and my kids could not stopped to enjoy playing on the fine sands. Kids were running all over the place and wanted to try sand surfing too. But since we dont have terrain board to use, so its difficult to slide down on the sand.

Batac, Ilocos Norte

We stopped over the place where the dead body of late President Ferdinand E. Marcos laid. The place is open to the public. But, since we were very early that time it was still close. This is my second time, and i was able to saw it 10 years ago...it almost a decade since me and hubby had our first visit here. Im just disappointed because my children werent able to experience it. We know that the Marcos Family are working it to have a burial in "Libingan ng mga Bayani".

Paoay Church

Laoag-Batac, Ilocos Norte Part 2

We never missed the famous and the historic Paoay Church, which was built during Spanish Era and the tower was built on 1793 which was used as an observation post of the Katipuneros against the Spaniards. The church facade is now under renovation but its beauty still flourish. The old architectural designs of Philippine Churches showed the talent of the ancient people in building grandiose structure.

The church was made up of large coral stones in the upper level and bricks in the lower part.

Norther Escapade II

Worn out from a long trip but still excited to explore the nearby towns of Laoag City. So,we opted to rent a tricycle which cost us P800.00 for Paoay, Batac and Laoag tour. But if the North part of Ilocos Norte will be included it will cost P2500.00 for the whole trip. Not bad because it’s really bit far from each other and its really worth the price.

First stops, was in Plaza Del Norte, it is a hotel and a convention center.The buildings were designed like the Spanish Era and some resemblances to the buildings of UP in the Visayas in Miag-ao, Iloilo. We just took pictures in the main entrance of the hotel and didnt stay long in the area.









Next stop was the legendary Paoay Lake..there was a legendary story behind the lake. In fact, it was written in the big cement table beside the road where you can also enjoy the magnificent lake view.

Northern Escapades


Our bags were packed and headed directly to Northern part of the Philippines, our main destination is in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, the hometown of my husband. Its been a decade already since the last time we visited the town and its the first time of our kids to experience Cagayan life.



Our first stop was in Laoag City, we left Manila at exactly 4:30pm and arrived in LC at early dawn. The kids complained that they bit hungry and wanted something hot because its also really freezing. We looked for a place that was opened that time and luckily we found somewhat the foodcourt which they were open at night time. So we tried the famous Ilocano sausage,pinakbet and hot lomi with hot coffee and Milo





After our early breakfast we walked around the city, its still dark and rarely seen people on the streets.

Stocks 101

This is not a lesson about stocks. It just a mere sentiments as a first time investor in the stock market.


I have been reading a lot about stocks for a long time, actually i need it badly because of my growing enthusiasm and my desire to invest and earn money..Huh! feeling confident that i could earn money by joining stock market..They say that it likes gamble, a game of chance to win. But experts on stocks dissent on this idea. Knowledge on the economy and flow of the current economic situation all over world needed to garner full understanding in the movement of stocks.

Economic crunch are now worldwide, USA and some countries in Europe are in great woes.Lots of factors are to be considered and that may affects stock prices.

Since im a beginner on this, so im still in the point that I am totally naive on the basic principles. Hoping that I gradually learn on this and I know that I have a long way to go.

On my first day of trading i placed my order to buy BPI and LCB(Lepanto). Since its my first time so i opted to buy the cheapest price of stock that I based in the Bid Price. I was waiting till evening in checking the status of my stocks..but the remarks said "POSTED" supposed to be it should be executed. Nothing has been changed, so I read again on the FAQ of Citiseconline regarding the status of the ordered stocks. And i realized, that the price that i indicated has no match. The sellers' prices are higher than my price. My sister laughed at me, she said that my price is too low that no seller is willing to sell their stocks.
So sabi ko sige lang eh di order again.!!

So nakakanerbiyos on the second day, here you will see the movement of stocks and the same way if your stocks are gaining or losing. So far, 3 out of 4 are gaining and the other one ended in a negative. But the total gain is quite favorable and this urge me to save more to buy more stocks.
