Pinakbet

Im no good cook but im trying to be. That's why today i tried to cook Pinakbet with fried tuna belly..And im so proud of the outcome of my so could experimentation..hahahaha..

My hubby can really cook yummy food, so i asked him how he rate my viand. He said that its delicious but lots of sabaw..Ahh ganito na talaga sa amin, everytime we prepare food we have to put lots of sabaw because of our children. My kids love SABAW. Kaya pati adobo namin daming sabaw. Tawag ko nga is "sinabaw na Adobo".

Anyway, the ingredients are the basic pinakbet vegetables. I just omit the ampalaya (bitter melon) because of the bitter taste and instead of using bagoong, I used the patis or the fish sauce. The fish sauce adds to the savory of my pinakbet.

And the sad part is i ate a lot again.:(

How about you? Please share your cooked food.

Movie Marathon:

It was not my plan to watch movie today but my mother woke me up at 2am because my hubby and my father will drive her to Davao International Airport for her early flight to Iloilo City. Yes, both of my parents came from Iloilo, my mama was from Calinog and my tatay was from Guimaras Island of Iloilo. So, im a full blooded Ilonggo.

Anyway, since it hard for me to go back to sleep again, i decided to watch the Bourne Movie series. Hubby told me that i need to watch the first movie in order to fully understand the whole story.

Its Bourne Madness right now, their decisions to shot the movie here in the Philippines is a great honor for us and definitely can help to boost our tourism industry. This also help our local people to gain pride as they were hired to be an "extra" in the movie and of course they earned money too.

BOURNE IDENTITY

BOURNE SUPREMACY

BOURNE ULTIMATUM

I started to watch 2am and finished the two movies at 6 in the morning. I watched the 3rd movie by 10am. Its really an exciting and thrilling movies.
I cant wait to watch the coming of BOURNE LEGACY. Too excited to watch it and of course,so proud that Philippines was included in this big movie.

Im pretty sure that all of us are very excited and definitely will truly enjoy!

Celebrating Chinese New Year!!!

2012 Year of the Water Dragon

2012 is the year of the Water Dragon which starts from January 23, 2012 and end on February 9, 2013. The Year of the Dragon are 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012

I was so happy when I saw the Chinese Astrology Bulletin in the lobby of KCC Mall Gensan. This is something new in the mall. People were fascinated reading their astronomical description of the year they were born, including me. Mine, is a bit true to my personality. I was born on the Year of the Rabbit.

Im not really a fun of this kind of thing but this excites me to read and curious how true it is based on my personal experience but sometimes i used this as a guide in my future decisions.

Lemlunay Diving Resort

infinity pool

Its always been our weekend getaway going to some beaches and resorts..So that sunny Sunday, the whole family packed and headed to this breathtaking beach of Sarangani. At first we were hesitant to enter coz we thought that it too costly to have lunch and to swim. And when we were in the veranda, dito na nagsimula to appreciate the place because its facing the bluish water of Sarangani Bay.

My New Year’s Resolution

Here are my lists of this year resolution.

Actually, im not really fun of this but I think I need to have a list to remind me of the things that i have to do. And this will also serve as a challenge on my part to fulfill my New Year’s Resolution.

1. To be more organized.

I think this is important, no need to explain further..it speaks by itself..LOL

2. Eat less fat and less salty food.

Eating fatty foods is not a big deal to me but eating salty foods is my most favourite. Like my dinner tonight, i ate “dayok” its like bagoong and made up of intestine of the fish. I love it as my side dish..ewww but its really difficult to stop..but Im hoping that i can gradually reduce it.

3. Exercise More

Actually i started already running but it is not continuous. Right now i exercise for only 4-5 minutes and i know it is not enough to burn a calories.

4. Be More Frugal

My motto in life is “Live Below Your Means” but there are times that its hard to resist shopping. Shopping is my way to release my stress. If I don’t have budget then I went for a “window shopping” na lang. Wawa ko naman.

5. Invest in Stocks

In this,I need to study more and read a lot about stocks. This is not a simple way to earn money. It takes a lot of courage and techniques to invest money in a volatile economic situation. Hope I can invest before April 2012.

Such an enjoyment to list down my resolution, I know that I need a lot of determination and encouragement to do all of these.

How about you? What is your New Year’s Resolution?

San Jose, General Santos City

My high school friend invited me with our hs barkadas to witness the baptismal ceremony of her daughter in Muslim rite..at first im hesitant to attend because the place was quite far from the city and it was situated in a remote and hilly area. Plus, it was also New Year's day so its really hard to say yes. But because of her persistent request, we opted to give it a try.

Actually it was my first time to visit that area, but i heard a lot of beautiful comments to the place and even my sister convinced me to go. So it turns out that im too excited to see the place. And indeed, the place was really beautiful.

The vast green land and the overlooking Sarangani Bay make the place really beautiful. On the other side the you can hear the sound of the water flows of the river and on the hilly part is the mango plantation. The fresh cold air coming from the bay adds to the tranquility of the place..
