Amandari Cove

entrance road

It took me too long to blog again..actually its a combination of laziness, lack of time and been very  busy preparing for my own business..(ill post it here about it soon).

Anyway, my son Dave was invited to a birthday swimming party and we were all excited coz its also our first time to the place. I heard about it before that its truly a nice place to enjoy swimming. Indeed, its really nice and nature reminds me that people should care for the mother earth.
So while waiting for others, we took the advantage of taking snaps and enjoy the nature. My kids run, jumped and even enjoyed posing for photos.

A very relaxing area maybe with bread and coffee..basking the cool atmosphere to release your stressful day.
A man-made pond with plenty of fishes. You can enjoy boating too. I just dont know how much it cost. Its also exciting to go fishing..Im not sure if it is allowed.

The Baby was sick!

We panicked  when we were rushing Revin to the hospital!
It started in afternoon of thursday, while staying in the school, waiting for my 2 kids. He slept in my lap the whole time and I noticed when we were about to go home that he was hot and had fever. Even when we  got back at home, he continued to sleep. I started to get worried  and even refused to wake up to eat dinner. At 8'oclock, his temperature rose as high as 38'3 degrees Celcius.  So I gave him medicine for fever, but he vomited after few seconds. He vomited 3 times and started to complain of headache but no stomach pain. It made me more nervous because it seems like a symptoms of dengue fever.
He looked pale, dehydrated and very weak, that made us decide to rush him in the hospital.

He was brave enough, that he was not crying when he was injected IV fluid and extracted  blood for some tests.Nurses were also elated for his reaction.

When his doctor visited him friday morning, he had some physical test for appendicitis and for bone fracture. He complained pain on his back when the doctor lifted his head. So the doctor advised to have chest xray to check his chest and spinal cord. All was clear and normal and even his platelet count for dengue was also in high level.

No other available room left, which forced us to stay in a suite room that charged us P2,500.00/night less P500.00 from Philhealth, so totaled of P2000.00. Almost like in a hotel room, with refrigerator, free wifi connection but connection failed all the time....hehehe and cable tV.

Final diagnosis on him was Acute Gastritis and Moderate Dehydration. He is now perfectly all right and becoming "pasaway" na naman!

Happy 7th Birthday Dave!

My little boy turns 7 last August 1 and one of his requests  was to have a birthday   party with
his friends and classmates. I knew that it was a laborious task and I was sick that time, so I was hesitant at first to say yes and considering the money matters too, so its a tough decision to make. But age 7 reminds me lucky one for children, so I and my husband promptly agreed to his request.

Kids were very excited and had fun during the party. They playing, riding in a bicycle, eating, shouting and others were watching cartoon programs on television. Happy and excited, that they wanted to stay longer. But it was getting late and they needed to study after the party because on next day it was their 2nd day of examination.

I and hubby tried doing everything for this party so I guess it ended up an exciting and joyful children's party.

I love you Baby Dave! (He hates me if I call him Baby Dave)

Sudden Death

Death is inevitable. We never know when and where death comes.

It was a shocked to me when I heard the news of my fellow mother from the school of my kids that she and her whole family died because of fire. Bing (mother) and her 3 children including the helper were trapped inside their house. The fire started in the living room where the entrance and exit is one.  The house was situated in a subdivision were the lot was  occupied  by the whole house. According to the investigation the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring. Based  on dead body, they died because of suffocation, except for the helper that  was totally burned. And Bing has an asthma too, so probably, that caused her tragic death.
Her husband just left to work in Qatar 1st week of this month. So it was only 9-10 days when he left that this tragic event happened in his family . And Ate Bing, as what we call her in school was too excited, about their planned to transfer in Qatar next year.
No one expect, that this happened to her. She was a strong woman, a very loving mother and often fights on what she believed. Ive seen her wednesday morning in school, and talked for a while to her. But the conversation lasted a few minutes because I was on a hurry that time. I did'nt expect that it was our last "chika". I'll gonna miss Ate Bing's presence in school.

To ate Bing and to her kids, May All of You Rest in Peace.

My daughter, trisha was thrilled when she received her invitation for birthday swiming party of her classmate. It was her first swimming party. She was so excited for that day to come. On that same day too, we were invited by our relative for a birthday party. Luckily, the family affair was in the morning and her party was in the afternoon.

So after the party in the morning we hurriedly bought birthday gift for the celebrant. Based on the interest of her classmate she opted to buy cute journal notebook.

Actually, I have so much things to share to you guys since two weeks ago but because of my laptop techie problem I lose my excitement to write. Yes po, the hard disk of my laptop was damaged due to unknown reason..according to the technician. So therefore all my files were damaged too. Aaahhhgg! Lesson learned..need  to backup  all my files.

Anyway, its election time in my kids' school, and my daughter, Trisha run as a Grade 4 Representative,. She asked me to make her giveaway campaign material for her classmates.

So we searched in the internet a low cost and  easy to make Do It Yourself Election Material. Daddy also helped us in making these and he suggested also other styles to make it more attractive.

In life, failure is part of it. In other words, she did not make it and she felt sad that day. I comforted her and explained that in every competition there is a winner and a loser. And for the loser there is always  next time to fight back again.

Exploring Guimaras Island

This is still part of my Road Trip from Gensan To Iloilo, and been here in Guimaras Island so many times already. This is my father's hometown, and  the first time that i was here was year 1996. I heard about this place from  the stories of my grandfather, especially during Japanese Era in the Phils.

Guimaras Island, is a peaceful and full of lush greenish scenery. Known for its beautiful beaches and mangoes, the island is gradually visited by locals and internationals. They celebrating their yearly Mango Festival showcasing their local mango products. The Guimaras Mango is known as the sweetest mango in the world and by ensuring  the quality of their mangoes, the government  is very strict not  to allow any mango seeds to enter the island.

It's also expected that the island is abundant for seafoods. Crabs are the best here and very cheap. It cost us P180.00/kilo.

fishermen were preparing to catch crabs

Since known for their beaches, its expected that my kids  never missed  the chance to go swimming. While visiting some of my relatives, my kids went to Vilches Beach owned by my great grandfather. He is 100 years old now. WOW!! Hopefully, I can reach an age like that..malabo na siguro..hehehehe.

Just to take a break for  usual weekdays, we're off to Sarangani Province to enjoy the relaxing Villa Montana. Its not quite far from the city, probably it takes 20-30 minutes by car.

My kids love water and they were excited to use their new speedo water goggles from their Tita Bevs. (super thanks). They preferred pool than sea water so they shouted for joy when they knew that we were going here. The pool is very safe for children and not  crowded that we're sure  that the kids will absolutely enjoy the water.
