Road Trip From Gensan to Iloilo City

This was the first time that we had a family road trip. My father was hesitant at first, considering for our safety on the road and the long trip that we have to experience with my children. It took us months in planning this trip..we dont really have definite date as when will it be. In fact, I was bit scared that it might going to cancel but anyway I am here now writing this to share our experiences. :)

1st Day (Gensan-Davao City-Bukidnon-Cagayan de Oro City to Iligan City)

We left  Gensan 9AM, a bit late already because in our original plan we will going to sleep in Cagayan De Oro City, but there were changes that night and went directly to Iligan to spend the night. I wasnt able to took pictures in the pension house because we were all tired that time for the all day trip. It cost us P500.00 for a night which was very cheap for the whole family.

roro boat from Mukas Port, Iligan

We left in Iligan City 4:00 in the morning and it was more than an hour trip to Mukas Port, Kulambogan, Iligan. The trip was safe and when we arrived, we forced  to wait for a long queue boarding in the roro boat. There were about 10-15 vehicles in one trip. The trip was about 15-20 minutes to Ozamiz Port.

Human Heart Nature

All year round Dengue Fever is always present and becoming a major health problem of the community. And as a mother of three kids, I am more concern on their risk in this kind of deadly disease. So my main concern is the protection of my children against mosquito and my first move is to use a lotion that drives away mosquito from them. But, since this lotion is harsh to their skin, I opted to look for something which has no harmful effect in the long run to them. And I discovered these HUMAN NATURE PRODUCTS..its truly amazing  and most of all it 100% natural ingredients.

This is Philippine-Made Product, so we can be proud of it.

Ive been using this for months already and now i decided to join as a dealer. I joined a lot of this kind of businesses before  but unfortunately I was not contented and happy of the other products. Hopefully, this will be the start of a lucrative business .. Goodluck to me! :)

So, if you have querries, dont hesitate to post comment. Im more willing to help you.

Kids' Summer Lessons

Lazy summer days convinced my two children to enroll in a summer lesson. But my middle child was not interested to any lessons offered in the Musikahan Summer Classes. He was more fascinated in playing games in the computers than joining in the summer class. I just agreed to his idea but we made a deal that he has to practice reading in Filipino everyday. He is poor in reading Filipino, while better in English. Now he's gradually improving and I'm happy for his improvement.

Painting Lesson

My daughter used to attend piano lesson but I noticed that she was not fascinated with it. In fact, we bought an organ for her to pratice at home, but she does not show any interest to play piano. This summer vacation, she manifested great affection in painting and often remind me of her enrollment in painting lesson. Now, I can see that she really enjoys her time in painting lesson.

Dont Disturb, Little Painters are Busy

Trisha's First Artwork

On May 13, 2012 will be their culmination for their summer classes, the teacher informed me that Trisha was chosen to paint on the stage. So, I'll gonna post pictures on that event.

 Taekwondo Lesson
My youngest son  shows his enthusiasm in Taekwondo when he saw Taekwondo competition in the mall.     He was too eager to watch considering that it was  jam-packed of spectators.
When we were about to enroll him in the Taekwondo class, he was hesitant and even vocal that he was not interested already. We asked him why, but he just replied..BASTA! When we were at home, he confided to me that he was afraid because big children might kick his face..sabi nya

"SISIPAIN NILA ANG FACE KO MENG! MAMUMULA ITO KASI MALALAKI SILA!

So, ito pala reason nya kasi ito yong nakita nya during competition. So, I explained to him that it only happen  during competition. And since a beginner.."magpractice muna kayo  para matutoka"..

He replied "AHHH, PRASTIS PALA MUNA KAMI MENG?!!! GANUN PALA YON!!

Hehehehe..that's my son!!

YAHH!!

Filing My Income Tax Return

I hope everyone did their obligation already to our country..filling and paying the Income Tax before due date. Officially, the deadline was April 15, 2012 but this date falls on Sunday, so it was extended until April 16, 2012.

Filing after the due date, will just add your amount of payment because of penalties and surcharge imposed. And take note guys..the penalty is very high, almost half of your total payment. So its best to apply earlier to avoid rush in the office and most of all to avoid PENALTIES.

Its a bit complicated in filing the income tax but after you thoroughly study the flow of the application in the office, it turns out quite simple. They have a new form which it requires the tax payer to fill up all the necessary information and if possible not to leave blanks. The complexity started with the new form because of the changes made in filing. Though its still similar to the old one, they just revised and make it more specific.

In my case, I even pay after deduction of my tax withheld. This was due to my company's policy that only 2% to be deducted from my monthly salary and I cannot list my 3 children as my dependent because they were already listed in my partner's tax. So, this year I opted to pay by installment for I was out of budget already. Probably I will pay my 2nd payment by last week of June due to deadline for the 2nd quarter will be on July 15, 2012.

So, do your obligation guys this is our way to help our country. Do not think about corruption in the government, because for not paying your tax is a form of corruption too.

Celebrating Easter Sunday

I was contemplating if I will share our weekend celebration of Easter Sunday because its quite late already to post. But here I am now sharing our escapades last sunday.

Basked by the idea to go swimming, so we hurriedly prepared the things needed for swimming that morning like swimsuit for my daughter and trunks for my boys. And of course, sunblock for our skin protection. But, before that, we solemnly attended the Easter Sunday Mass, to celebrate the day that Jesus Christ Risen from the dead.

My kids were jumping for joy when we were heading to our fave beach the 4M's beach. They love water and they love swimming. They often murmur to go the beach or pool.

Though the place is undeveloped, but water, is definitely good for swimming and you can even stay under the trees while in the water. Unfortunately it was low tide that time, so the kids were just enjoying playing in the sand, digging, lying and having fun collecting sea creatures.

They were amazed by this star fish.

How about you, how did you spend the Easter Holiday?

Sumptuous Lunch @ Sarangani Highland

Actually every time we had a family celebration, we spent it here, enjoying great foods in Sarangani Highland. I made a review of the Place and everytime we came here the place is improving a lot. Infact, expansion is going on and more surprises waiting to attract more visitors
Most of our food served were fish and vegetables, a healthy delicious lunch. Since my kids adore sweet taste sauce, we tried the Glan Humba, their version of adobong baboy.

Glan Humba
Glan is a small town of Sarangani Province which is the hometown of the resort's owner

beef kare-kare
Tried this, and we never go wrong, definitely very YUMMY!

steamed lapu-lapu

Of course, steamed lapu-lapu was also very delicious. The mango shakes were served first and we cant stopped the kids drink before food served. I paid alsmost P2,200 including my tip to the waiter. The price was a bit higher than other restaurant here but because of the relaxing place, my rate is 4 stars..
